As the beautifully warm and settled weather extended into a seconfd
week, St. Céré got on with enjoying itself. But first,
a WARNING...

|
|

Wednesday 1st October - this is the day that the Gendarmes start
to enforce the new motoring law that entered the statute book on
1st July. You must now carry a reflective jacket and a warning triangle
in your car or face a hefty on-the-spot-fine. What's more, these
have to comply to a set EU standard.
For
further information on this new motoring law - click this link

Talk about those magnificent men in their flying machines! What
an amazing sight... we and several thousand others, watched in awe
as balloon after balloon rose precariously from the narrow valley
bottom, up past the wooded slopes and cliff sides of the Alzou,
to soar into the bright azure blue sky. It was the the 23rd Montgolfiades
and, unlike last year when it was cancelled at the last minute,
it did not disappoint.
Sit
back and enjoy a Quick-Tour slide show of this hot air ballon event,

Saturday night and it was Melodie and the Honky Tonk Boys turn to
strut their stuff at the music bar, Au Passé Simple. Just
goes to show, that you can please some of the people all of the
time or all of the people just some of the time, but if you really
like Country Music... would you have liked Melodie's version? Read
our review and judge for yourself - click the photo above or the
link below.
