Place Forail was alive with colour as the Potters Market got under
way. Hard to single out individual pieces, but, despite the lead
picture of a plate above, striking was the amount of very good figurine
work - see "Figures" below, where you can access a quick
automatic slide show of some of the figurines featured in the Potters
Market. Pots, plates, objet d'art... you were spoilt for choice
if you were in a buying mood. Clicking on any of the three images
below will pop up a larger version.
On the other hand, you could make and decorate your own...
One thing stood out at this years market, were the number of potters
exhibiting figures. Clicking on the image below, will start a quick,

Meanwhile, across the road in Parking Couzi, the Free Summer Stage
set up by the town hall, had the kids jumping! Sensibly, there was
a beer buvette for the adults!

Bunny and Andrew were live at the Piano Bar, Au Passé Simple

The organisers of the St. Céré Music Festival put
on a free concert in the church on Quay des Récollets on
Tuesday night. A string and clarinet quintet, played Brahms to a
packed house. The image above shows Nicholas Fargeix (clarinet),
Thomas Vosluisant (violin), Virginie Turban (violin), Marie Kutchinski
(viola) and Valérie Kohlrusch (cello) taking a well deserved bow.

Martel holds its annual fête the weekend of 15th - 17th August.
Usually a very lively affair, this year promises to be no

concert put on by the organisers of the St. Céré
Music Festival - A string and clarinet Quintet, playing
Brahms in the church on Quay des Récollets on
Tuesday night. We caught up with them at the Café
