Not one, but 3 choirs will be assembled on Saturday, to put
some Christmas spirit into you. Joined by an instrumental section
from l'Ecole de Musique, it starts at 21h.00. Kids under 10 go free,
with adults paying 5€. Proceeds go towards providing heat in
in the Frayssinhes parish church, which, looking out the window
right now, would not be a bad idea!
Mind you, if you cannot wait to hear a bit of Christmas music,
just click on the photo of the choirboy above. This will open a
new window onto a YouTube page, with Kings College Choir, Cambridge
singing Once in Royal David's City.
Or how about Bing Crosby and.... you guessed it... White Christmas

In fact, if you are yet to discover the joys of YouTube... you
are in for a Christmas Music Feast, because you can just click the
links through as many Christmas Carols as you wish whilst enjoying
this site. (Enjoy - Ed)

Still on a music theme, the Blues lured many out into a misty,
night in St. Céré and the verdict was, it was well
worth it. Check

As we "go to press", the snow at breakfast time
has turned to lunchtime sunshine. So what can we expect for Christmas?
Well, this is what the BBC reckon for the UK, for those of you
going back to visit friends and relatives:
A white Christmas is possible, but more likely towards
the coast and across the West Midlands.
More certain from Boxing Day however despite finer weather, is
widespread sharp frost. The month should then end on a cold, dull
note, with some rain, sleet or snow possible.
Just read that again. It is going to be fine, but with rain, sleet
or snow. Now that is what we call hedging your bets. Oh well, as
Michael Fish once said "... what's all the fuss? We get the
forecast right, 50% of the time". Oh well, if the experts can't
figure it out, what chance have we mere mortals. So.....

The credit-crunch claims another victim, as
the long-established and well loved expat English language
newspaper French News goes into liquidation. Which explains
why the Presse in Place de la République did
not have any on sale last week.
But is that the end of it? Seems that
there is something of a grass-roots rescue mission under
way.
