At last, the Ministry of Magic has got their act together

or click the image above to check what's on. Demandez le Programme
indeed! (Been asking for it for weeks - Ed)

I guess it serves us right for joking about it snowing. It
did!. St. Céré townies didn't suffer at all, but those
of us up on the hill got a good and proper dumping. Nothing like
that of 2005, but a dumping nonetheless. Not to mention the power
cut. It was the last episode of Little Dorrit too. After 14 episodes!
Naturally, the weatherman did not see it coming and it was not
forecast. I sometimes think they would do better just to look out
the window occasionally and ask someone 100 miles upwind of them
to do the same. Then, we might get accurate forecasts!
Anyway, rant over... see what Meteo France have to say about it.
Click the link for the 3 day forecast, over on the right, under
the news scroller.

We started to do a page where you could download the words to all
the favourite Christmas Carols, so you wouldn't be embarrassed when
you went to an English language Christmas Carol service in the area.
You know what we mean... first verse... no problem, but then the
second and third? Normally by the fourth verse, only the vicar is
singing because he has the words in front of his nose. The
rest of us? Well how many times have you hummed through Silent night?
Quietly, so as not to attract attention?
But then we could not find a service going on anywhere. So we decided
we could not let you go without some good, old fashioned Christmas
nostalgia ... your old favourite Carols and Christmas Music... Live
on this website!
We have put together a great mix of music and video clips, in
a sort of Christmas Juke Box. Click the image above to give yourself
a taste of what to expect and listen and watch as angel voiced Libera
and grown-up tenor, Aled Jones, sing one of the best versions of
Once in Royal David's City, you be likely to hear this side of Cambridge,
this Christmas!

Then click the
screenshot above or this link to be taken to our Christmas Juke
Box and help yourself to a Christmas Music feast.
(Enjoy - Ed)

Could November have been the last edition of French News, the long
established English language newspaper published in France?
Editor, Miranda Neame, states that some 200,000€ is needed
to re-structure the newspaper and get it in a state to carry on
publishing.
Apparently, messages of support, moral and financial, have been
pouring-in and the fight is now on the save the paper. Miranda says...
"So far we have been promised €42,700 from various
benefactors - thank you for keeping our hopes alive"
If you would like to add your support, or find out the latest news,
the French News website is still active. Click on the French News
