They're Back!
OK... so one swallow does not make a summer. (who said
that - click
the image above or here for the full quote and author).
And, yes, one fine day doesn't either, but in amongst those fabulous
blue-sky days of w/c 20th April, we spotted several old friends
coming home. Well, we are not absolutely sure we recognised
them, as one swallow looks much like another (and when they don't,
they are probably house martins!), but they do say that Swallows
and House Martins return to the place of their birth the following
year. If true, they may be out of Africa, but they are out of luck
up here on the hill, for the old barn now has windows downstairs,
where their parents nested last year in the untended, unconverted

On the 3rd May 2007, 3yr old Madeleine McCann was abducted
from the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz, Portugal. Since then, despite
extensive enquiries Madeleine is still missing.
It is almost two years since Madeleine McCann disappeared and there
is good reason to believe that she is still alive. Madeleine's family
and friends will never give up hope.
Trouble is, the search is now no longer for a 4 year old little
girl but a 6-year-old one. The hope is, that the new age-progressed
image of Madeleine aged 6, produced by the National Center for Missing
and Exploited Children in Washington, will help people to see what
Madeleine may look like today. Just click the image above to see
how she may have grown.
On May 7th at 9pm (UK time, 22h.00 local), a televised reconstruction
of potentially significant and suspicious events from around the
time that Madeleine was taken will be aired on Channel 4. Much of
this information has not been disclosed to the general public before
and it is apparent that there are several highly important unanswered
questions remaining. Just one of these answers could provide the
McCanns with that vital piece of information that could lead to
Madeleine. It is hoped that these reconstructed scenes will trigger
somebodys memory and prompt them to come forward giving
us the key piece of the jigsaw that the McCanns - and Madeleine
especially -so desperately need.
France is the most visited country in the World. On the principle
that even child abductors go on holiday and would probably prefer
transporting their captive anonymously by car across frontiers,
rather than risk airport and port security. If Madeleine McCann
is in Europe, she may well be brought to France. It's a long shot,
but, you never know. Just keep her image in mind, throughout the
long summer ahead.
As the famous image above is over 2 years old, the Mcanns have
issued an "age progression" photograph. This has been
produced by graphics experts at the National Center for Missing
and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the USA. You
can view this new age progression image of Madeleine, by clicking
the photo above or this link

Apart from being vigilant and keeping your eyes open, you
could donate some money, by clicking the link to the Find Madeleine
Website above. On a practical level, what about printing off a Find
Madeleine poster and sticking it up in your business premises or,
perhaps, persuade your favourite bar/restaurant/shop to feature
it in their street-side window.
You can download an English or French version by clicking the pdf
