Carol, Peter and their family from Wales invite you to stay with
them in their "traditionally French" Chambres d'Hôtes
Petit Dragon Rouge (Named after the emblem on the Welsh flag)
We are situated in the quiet pretty village of Miers near to St.
Céré and Gramat (10km). The b and b is also very near
Rocamadour (8Km) and the Gouffre de Padirac (4km). See Google Map
below.
Built on the foundations of a castle and using reclaimed castle
stone, the Chambres d'Hôtes is the oldest building in the
village and sits on the village square with plenty of parking. We
are a stones throw from the village pub/restaurant which offers
an excellent evening meal at an excellent price.
Located in the middle of a region dedicated to tourism there is
much to see and do in the area. At Rocamadour a 13th century cathedral
is built into the cliff face and there is a breathtaking cave system
at Padirac including an underground lake on which you can take an
underground boat ride.
While for the more adventurous there are a variety of sporting
activities available locally including kayaking, orienteering and
potholing. Mountain bikes can be hired in the area, we can even
arrange a days accompanied cycling to some of the local sites. There
is a secure storage area for cycles, should you bring your own.

We have five well appointed rooms, two quad, two triple and one
twin/double room all with WC Shower and hand basin. Each of the
quad rooms has the capacity for an additional fifth place for a
child or infant. We also have a cot available for small children.
For 2009 we are opening a new family room that will accommodate
6 people in a suite with two bedrooms. This room will be reserved
for use families with children only.
Also for 2009 we are opening our new "family garden"
situated in our rear detached gardens with playing areas for children,
picnic tables and shaded areas for a relaxing afternoon or evening
unwinding in the tranquillity and calm that is found in abundance
in the area.

French doors from the spacious guest lounge, lead on to the front
terrace, an ideal place, for whiling away those lazy summer afternoons
watching the world go by and taking in the atmosphere of the local
produce market held every Friday evening in July and August. Le
Petit Dragon Rouge is child friendly and we welcome families of
all ages and size.
How to find Le Petit Dragon Rouge bed and breakfast - We
are about twenty minutes drive off the main Paris to Toulouse motorway,
the A20 (J54 from the North, J56 from the South), just below the
rugby stronghold of Brive in the Lot department of the Midi-Pyrénés
region of South West France. The nearest airports are Toulouse,
Rodez, Limoges and Bergerac. The Brive-Souillac airport opening
in 2009 and the arrival of low cost airlines from the UK, will bring
Le Petit Dragon Rouge chambre d'hote within 45 minutes of an international
airport.

depending on season and number of people sharing the room.
