The Au Passé Simple bar at the beginning of Rue de la
République, St. Céré is one of the few places
in St. Céré where you can hear and see live music
regularly. Not just piano, for that is down to impromptu guests,
but live bands and vocalists. As far as we know, it is the only
place for miles around you can get stuck into some good live sounds
over a drink or three.
Every month we have at least one live act booked to appear from
21.30 hrs onwards on Friday or Saturday evenings (see fixtures
list below). These range from Blues to Jazz, Rock to Ballads.
The venue is ideal for live music, benefiting from not just a
lit stage inside, but a big, recently refurbished terrace outside
at the front. Bilingual staff smooth the way to fast service from
the bar, and there are usually enough tables and chairs to go
around. See you soon.

If you play the piano and would like to try yourself out on a
live audience, drop in and help yourself, anytime we are open
(except when we have live music booked). That goes for acoustic
guitarists too. No pay, of course, but we are sure that if you
go down well, a few drinks might find their way to you from the
more affluent grateful clientele!
